Artwork
The poster, attributed to artist Pierre Pigeot, utilizes a striking, illustrative style with bold colors to evoke the film noir atmosphere of the film. The design prominently features an imposing, almost menacing portrait of actor Louis Jouvet (Inspector Antoine) in the upper half. Below him, the other main characters—Suzy Delair as Jenny Lamour and Bernard Blier as Maurice Martineau, as well as Simone Renant as Dora Monier—are arranged within a geometric triangle that visually symbolizes the central love triangle and intricate relationships in the plot. The use of sharp lines and dramatic lighting effectively captures the suspense and complex character dynamics that are central to the film.
